This is a working supervisor role employed on a shift rotation basis at Lady Cross site. The Ganger is responsible for the maintaining of general site housekeeping, water treatment, water management, material storage and waste management on site. Reporting to the Shift Manager the Ganger will also be deployed on general maintenance tasks around site when required.
§ Ensures full compliance to site rules and procedures, is a role model in demonstrating such compliance.
§ Supervises team members in duties and performance related to environmental obligations.
§ Ensures tasks are correctly resourced with plant, labour and materials.
§ Ensures team members have the correct training to carry out their duties. Including SOS briefings, RAMS briefings and POWRA’s.
§ Arranges collections of materials and waste as and when required.
§ Ensures that site teams are depositing materials in the correct waste streams.
§ Liaise with Shift Manager and Environmental team if any non-conformance or issues arise relating to waste stream or material storage.
§ Carry out and record site inspections, implementing any required improvements as necessary.
§ Monitoring and fulfilling the requirements for the onsite dewatering procedures.
§ Continually monitors site conditions and activities to ensure highest health and safety standards are being maintained.
§ Ensures that the project control of work procedure is being implemented across all activities.
§ Undertakes manual site maintenance duties across site as directed by the Civils Supervisor/Shift Manager..
§ Work shift patterns to site requirements – remain flexible to change.
